Go to Square Lucien Beaufrère, also known as the Abbey Garden.

 

With a surface area of 6,000 m2, it is located in the heart of the city of Vierzon between the Yèvre and the canal de Berry. This Art Deco garden, created in the 1930s by Eugène Henry Karckher has been listed as a Historic Monument since 1996 because it was built around a monument to the dead. You will also discover a fine example of an Art Deco garden, with with its yew and boxwood trees, its bandstand and its mosaic fountains.

Stroll along the Canal de Berry and its towpath, which crosses the town and is a refreshing place to a refreshing place in the heart of the city in summer. If you feel like it, you can also the canal in a motor boat without a licence or in a pedal boat, to observe the fauna and flora.
