One of the most sumptuous monuments of the 15th century!

Located just behind the Saint-Etienne cathedral, the Palais Jacques Coeur is often referred to as one of the most beautiful Gothic buildings in France. It was built between 1443 and 1451 (a feat at the time!) on the Gallo-Roman city walls.

 

Elegant architecture, rich and varied decoration

With an architecture inspired by the aristocracy, all the rooms in the building have fireplaces and an oven for washing. In a superb Gothic style, the visit of the place will allow you to discover many signs of wealth as well as quite ingenious techniques of interior decoration!
