The Bourges Natural History Museum


For those curious about history and animals, a visit to the Bourges Natural History Museum is ideal! 2,000 m2 of permanent exhibitions dedicated to science and nature and presenting three to four temporary exhibitions each year.

The museum offers children a gallery of naturalised animals (giraffe, lions, bison, wolves, elephants, sea lions, etc.), the temporary and permanent exhibitions.
This tour is punctuated by numerous games, aquariums and dioramas. The educational service offers information sheets related to the exhibitions.

You may not know it, but the city centre of Bourges is populated by fairies. That's why we suggest you finish your visit with a bit of magic. Take your children with you and go in search of the doors of the fairy houses, there are all sorts of colours!

In total autonomy, go in search of the little fairy doors that are set up in the historic centre of the town.
Each door has its own magical, fairy-tale world, which sometimes even refers to films or rock bands. For those who are afraid of getting lost and to find them for sure, you are helped by a map with precious clues...

This tour takes you and your children right into the heart of Bourges, through the most emblematic streets which are home to numerous monuments and museums.
